Need Beer
Submitted by reeses on Tue, 2005-10-04 20:06. | beer
Dear Lazyweb,
I know I write you often and don't give anything back, and never write thank you notes. Really, this time is different. See, I'm looking for a good bar. Ideally, one like E9 or The Swiss in Tacoma, WA (what is it about Tacoma that creates these completely-out-of-character bars for such a plebian blue-collar town?), with scads of handles with beers produced using brewing techniques I've never even heard of. This bar, were it to exist, needs to be in downtown Bethesda, or close enough to a metro stop (preferably red line) that I don't have to risk life and limb getting home. There's no way I'm driving to a bar/pub/taphouse. I would consider it frosting on top if you could tell me of a place with Gulden Draak on tap as well, but Chimay and Lindeman's Framboise or Kriek would do just fine. Yrs. v. truly, Update: I have since moved from Bethesda to San Francisco, but good beer bar recommendations here are prized as well. Post new comment |
