(Yes, I love kit cars. They're like bad folk music.)
This one comes by way of ebay, as do a number of these monstrosities. The description claims that it's a Lamborghini kit, but it's more clearly an attempt to replicate a Ferrari Enzo, or Enzo Ferrari, or whatever.
From The BMW Nightmare Webpage: This looks like a mangled 3-series with a bad ground effects kit until you look up and you see the adam’s apple under the scarf, the five-oclock shadow under the pancake foundation, and you realise Lola just made you a man in the back of an Accord.
Apparently, you can’t call it a “Ferrari” if it’s just a bunch of plastic glued/stapled/taped to a Fiero. Who knew?

We took a minibreak to Charleston, South Carolina last weekend. Kat made the hotel reservations with my explicitly stated requirements, which, unfortunately, did not include "centrally located". As such, we took what the Wentworth Mansion called a "suite", which is two big rooms divided by pocket doors, one bathroom, and, umm, that's it.

While much of the car noise I mentioned the other day turned out to be cicadas, Kat's car has also started making one of those,"I'm not going to die right now, but you're going to be paying soon, and it's going to cost a bit," noises. I'm guessing it's a bearing in the rear axle, which means taking things apart, and replacing things, and putting things back together.
Kat's car is old enough that if it can't be fixed by changing a combination of fluids, it's probably not worth doing. It just hit 60k miles, and we're looking at the first of a long stretch of annoying $1k repairs. After a handful of those, we will have been better off digging a hole and burying the car.
