No snaps, but I did notice a few embarrassing gaps in my results of this movie survey involving the films ranked in the top 100 on imdb. While my coverage was pretty good, I was a little surprised to find myself clicking "Hated It!" for some of the films. I've always hated Citizen Kane, and the irony of my life was that my response to my mother asking,"What did you do last night?" the morning after a night of boyish blowin-stuff-up was always,"Oh, we hung out and watched Citizen Kane." I've often hated books and films that I've been told to like. Ulysses could suck my left nut if I hadn't already trained my dog to do it, but it can suck my dog's left nut. Finnegan's Wake can't even get a crack. Like DTDs or Schemata, we'd have a common url like http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/REC-blog-20050330/ that people could refer to in their own blogs. Of course, the page rank for this URL would instantly make it the most popular page on the web. Now, I've turned this into a blog entry about blogging, which could be found at http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/REC-metablog-20050330/, so let's wrap that up tout de suite. What I really wanted to talk about, to avoid further http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/REC-blog-20050330/, was Napoleon Dynamite. |
